Notes: John says that, they had there annual Tarpon Springs redfish catch and release tournament this past Saturday and 13 lb. on two fish took the trophy . The reds were biting on various artificial's and the only area fished that John new of was Sand Bay just south of Gulf Habors sub division.

Species: Reds/Snook
Bait: shrimp,whitebait
Notes: Steve says, anglers fishing the shore line on the south side of the south side of Howard Park were catching quite a few snook to 38 in. long and a few redfish. The snook were along the mangroves and the reds in the mangroves and on the bars in the early morning. Both species were biting live shrimp and white bait. The snook being out of season were released.

Notes: Steve reports, anglers early mornings, fishing off the jetty at Per beach on the south east corner of Honeymoon island late this past week and through the weekend were catching quite a few 12 in. to 14 in. pompano. They were biting both yellow and white Silly Willy and Doc's Goofy pompano jigs tipped with small bits of frozen shrimp. The bite lasted to about 9:00 to 9:30 A.M. when the fish moved out.
