Profile of
a Charlotte Harbor Hot Spot Bull Bay
The mouth of this little bay is a natural funnel for
baitfish of all kinds and therefore snook, trout and redfish. Usually
a good all-around spot to score a slam, it's been giving up more snook
and reds than anything else over the past week. Members can study
it here |
Profile of
a Tampa Snook Spot Sweetwater Creek
This creek has long been a popular snook honey hole.
We take a close look at detailed aerial photos that show why this
spot produces. It's not too shabby when it comes to redfish, either.

| Joe Island Tampa Bay
It has a common name, is easy to reach but most important, it is
home to the big three of inshore fishing. We profile this Tampa
Bay fish magnet, showing just why it qualifies as a HOT SPOT - Sorry
but this is for members only. Take a look |
| Tarpon Key
Tarpon Key is perhaps one of the best known hot spots in Tampa Bay,
yet still many anglers pass it by each day on their way to and from
other destinations. Too public, some assume. Too much boat traffic.
But despite easy access and being right beside a high-traffic channel,
this sleeper spot frequently holds lots of big fish. Take

| Pinellas Spoil Islands a trout
hot spot
The spoil islands left from the Intercostal
Waterway dredging project have over the years become hotshots for
anglers looking for big trout.
As members of Bitetracker may know, many of our best trout reports
in December and January have come from this little hotbed.
As you can see from the aerial view, the little islands are adjacent
to the deep water of the channel just to the west. Take
