Capt. Roger Whitfield is a true pro and has fished New Port Richey to Clearwater since 1947, having grown up in Ozona. He runs inshore and offshore trips out of his home base of Tarpon Springs. His flexibility means anglers can count on everything from trout on the grass flats to big grouper offshore in deep water.
He fished live and artificial baits and takes pride in ensuring a great and memorable experience for his anglers, particularly impressionable children, many of whom he's gotten hooked on fishing. He fishes striper tournaments in Chesapeake Bay in the summers and fishes Florida Oct. through May.
