Capt.
Scott Clemmens is among the breed of Charlotte
Harbor guides who knows the ins and outs of these very fishy backwaters.
With so much water to cover, hundreds of coves and numerous creeks
and back bayous, it pays to have a guide who knows the water.
Capt. Scott has skinny water fishing in his blood and running Lemon
Bay to Boca Grande, has a real knack for snook and reds in the shallows.
He runs a 20-foot Backcountry skiff and live bait and artificials
are used as per the conditions and the angler's preference. In tarpon
season, Capt. Scott is prowling the backwater, introducing his anglers
to shallow-water poons, a much more exciting type of angling than
found in deep water fishing.
