Notes: Capt. Rick reports loads of floating water hyacinth pads are floating into the bay from Phillipe Creek. The very heavy rains of late typically wash the freshwater plants into bay and the Gulf.

Notes: Capt. Rick worked lighted docks before sunrise this morning, his fly angler landing 7 or 8 fish, with a couple of them keeper size. Water is very stirred up by all the rain.

Notes: Capt. Rick reports taking some trout from undersized to slot fishing off Whale Key this morning. Water is very stirred up due to all the rain.

Notes: Capt. Rick found a school today along Longboat and worked his angler in position to cast a black and purple Puglessi fly. The fish bit and eventually was landed. It went 120 pounds. The fish have been moving both directions on the beach, and there have been good numbers most days.

Notes: Capt. RIck reports the pompano are in the Bay. They are skipping fish as they run the bay, and caught them at the Middle Ground flats and Stephens point. Seem to be a good number around now and enough fish to target them.

Notes: Capt. Rick reports a good trout bite on the grass flats off Stephen's point. Fish are numerous and biting well. Good ratio of keeper fish, and some large fish in the mix.
